Are Filler and BOTOX/Dysport the same thing?
While both are temporary treatments, filler and BOTOX/Dysport are NOT the same thing. BOTOX/Dysport are used to prevent wrinkle formation and get rid of lines and creases of the face that occur when you make certain facial expressions. Filler does just what its name says—it “fills” in lines and creases of the face and neck that are present without making any facial expressions. It also replaces lost facial volume and allows for quick contouring the face and neckline.
Is Filler worth the price tag?
Filler is expensive but think of the amount of money you may spend in a year on clothes, shoes, accessories, gyms and fitness programs, skincare, and makeup. Most filler lasts between 6-9 months, some a little more or less. Fillers are purchased by the syringe and any amount of product remaining after treatment can be saved for later use. Some fillers can be used in multiple regions of the face, while others are specific to placement in a defined area. Selection and placement of the correct product is paramount to creating an exceptional result and avoiding complications.
